I'm new. Trying to save money I started looking into DE Safety Razors and so forth. I've discovered something I'm really starting to enjoy. I look forward to learning from those who've already invented the wheel.
I'm active duty Army, enjoy hunting, outdoors, and now - wet shaving with my DE.

If you are really into this to save money you have to beware of the Acquisition Disorders (ADs). Many of us newbies find so many neat things, like different razors, blades, soaps, or other shaving paraphernalia that we get carried away wanting to try all of it. That isn't a bad goal over time, but to acquire and try all of the products at once is a sure way to blow the budget.

Welcome. Always good to have a noob around. Good luck on saving money on DE shaving. On the blades, yes. BUT then there's all of the fun toys like brushes, products, trying out new razors.... Naw, you can do it, but you're going to have to avoid reading the reviews or visiting the BST section. Get on youtube and watch mantic59's vids. Many people here owe their skills, knowledge, and shaving enjoyment to the guy with the raccoon eyes.
Wishing I was back on the AT.
