Default Shaving Creams at the local Indian market... Are these any good?

I went to a local Indian grocery store and saw these Shaving Creams-- Are they any good?

"Godrej Shaving Cream: Deluxe Lather" (maroon color box/tube)
"Godrej Shaving Cream: Deluxe Lime" (green color box/tube)
"Dettol Lather Shaving Cream: Fresh" (tube)
"Dettol Lather Shaving Cream: Cool" (tube)

I picked up a tube of each, but wasn't sure if these were any good. There is a sale this week, and so if any are decent, please let me know as I'd like to get a couple/few more tubes before the normal price returns.

(Of course, I made sure to pick up various Sandalwood soaps and some great Indian food while I was there. lol)

Yes, they're pretty good. Real good for the price. Heck, I wouldn't mind some for myself, though my Indian markets tend not to carry anything of worth. The only thing I've found is sometimes you may have to use more product than you would on something else.

I look forward to trying each of these-- in the meantime of the next few days while the special pricing is in effect, are these creams worth getting more before the price goes back up?

All are very good. Add to the list Park Avenue cream if you can get one.

Good creams, but a small but significant minority of people (me included) are slightly allergic to the lanolin in those creams. You might want to do a patch test first before putting it on your face.

The Godrej 'Mentol Mist' is heavily menhtolated, if that's your thing. 70g tube for cheap, and an excellent, face-freezing lather.

Godrej's Rich Foam SC is really nice. A very "clean" scent.

Vi-John contains too much menthol. Your face will just freeze :) .

I haven't tried the Dettol, but Godrej is top notch. It performs well above it's price point. Just make sure you like the scent, as the scent of the regular Godrej is really strong.

Try the Indian Palmolive. I find it better than Godrej. Plenty of lather !!

I've gone to every Indian market in town and NONE of them have anything shave related.

They looked at me like I was from a different planet when I asked

They too looked at me like an alien as I was so excitedly looking through their mysore sandalwood soaps, shaving creams, and continued watching me the entire time I was shopping for Indian food. It was a sort of curiosity that almost made me laugh as they looked at me strangely as to say "why is this guy so excited about shaving cream and soap, and why does he need so much of it?" and it also didn't help that I was the only non-Indian in the store as that only added to their curiosity, I'm sure.

As I drove home, I was almost laughing and had a smirk about their curious analysis as they tried to covertly watch me as I walked around their store, wondering why I was there. lol ...oh well, I got shaving cream, sandalwood soap, and some awesome Indian food as the result, and they'll be seeing me again tomorrow for more. I can just imagine them wondering "...what is he doing that he needs *more* shaving cream???" and am looking forward to their entertaining curiosity. lol

My local store only carries Godrej Rich Foam. The cream performs well for me and I am a huge fan of lanolin. I thought the cream performed much like the Kiss My Face Key Limes cream. Clean, light, masculine scent. Get a few tubes at the sale price at least. What are they asking for a tube? I paid $3.95 for mine.
