I have a Kanayama and a Scrupelworks horsehide. I haven't touched my Kanayama since receiving my Scrupelworks. Torolf makes an incredible piece of hardware! The draw is very heavy, but it feels right...
Trahit sua quemque voluptas - Virgil
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

Now I'm very excited
I had reduced my strops to a Kanayama that I use daily and a TM for travel. I have another TM that I'll part with shortly, but if you're using the Scrupleworks over the Kanayama that is saying a lot. I have the horsehide and a new leather one that he hasn't started selling/advertising on the way.

hmm... silky smooth... i was hoping it would have some draw...

It does have some draw Jon. Silky smooth was the only descriptor I could think of at the moment. The draw seemed just right to me, you could feel that the linen was generating the heat need for optimum blade prep. Guess it is as close to perfection as you can get IMHO.

Just because it's sharp, does not mean it's smooth.
After a bit of wait - Two Scrupleworks are now on their way! Ordered a Horsehide w/linen and classic barber's end and a new one that Torolf had (though not sure if he is offering it as he wasn't sure how much material he had). The other one is a Swedish Bridal w/linen and barber's end as well. Both 2.5" wide. Can't wait for these to get to the mailbox.
Had my strops reduced to one Kanayama used daily, a backup Kanayama since the maker is getting old and there may be none in the future, and a TM horsehide used for travel. The other TM steerhide I had I will be parting with to make room for these new toys.
Oh, and here are some teaser pics Torolf sent me!

Joe I'm very curious to see what you think between these and the Kanayamo's.
Guys, I would like to add that I had a horrible experience with person that sells the Pegasus when I purchased a vintage Puma razor from him one year ago. Not only was it not shave ready it was badly pitted into the bevel and was useless. After he said he would refund my $98.50 I sent the razor back. Needless to say, it was a year ago and I never saw the one hundred bucks. He even said "sure anything for a man in the military" when I asked for a refund.
Tony Miller is a producer of superior strops and a true Gentleman IMO!
