Floris Vetiver...

Hey Folks...

So I got my Floris samples a few days ago and decided to try some of their Vetiver cologne after shaving w/ the "Elite" Cream (which I'm not a huge fan of).

At first I thought, "This isn't my thing..." and my girlfriend agreed.

Fast forward two hours and I'm thinking, "This is quickly becoming my thing." haha...

But I'm going to reserve judgment until the gf gets another wiff... I have learned my lessons about buying expensive colognes that she doesn't like as much as I do...

Hi Rick, I kind of like the Vetiver, and the santal. I ordered the edt santal and as balm. Mighty tasty.

+1 At first I thought it was too powdery, but once it dries down, I love it! Not to mention the fact that it has incredible staying power on me. When the money is there, I'm 100% going for a bottle of Santal or Endymion, but the Vetiver is one that I'll definitely be keeping my eye on.

of the samples i picked up from them top to bottom-

santal
vetiver
jl
#89- bit too powdery at the start
elite

they are all very nice, much better than anything i can buy around here. santal and vetiver are both on the to buy list for me.

i think the extreme santal is just a higher eo percentage- like a edp. for me the regular santal lasts a good 8 hours, so no need for me to spend the extra money on it.

I love Floris Vetiver and my wife loves it on me too. I wore it all this weekend and it is excellent. Deep, rich and earthy it's just excellent for fall winter and spring. It has that just ripped from the ground grass roots smell when first applied.

Caution: if you have a woman who likes the scent of vetiver, whether she knows what it is or not, you run the risk of getting attacked by her spontaneously and frequently when wearing it. I'll leave it at that.

Coincidentally, the same goes for a woman who does not like the scent of Vetiver... Particularly if you purchased a fine Vetiver cologne while she was away and upon her return and inquiring where the missing $70-80 went- You respond, "It's a mystery."

I've been rotating through my Floris sampler for a few weeks and although I went ahead and made a purchase of Santal, and though JF is really nice, I think the sneaker of the bunch is the Vetiver. I really like it...more so than I thought.
