    Cool Grillin' time!

well it was about 65 degrees in central Iowa today so I had to bust out the $30 wal-mart grill and grill some brats and turkey burgers. I love to grill. My grandma and her neighbor taught me. My grandma had a little Hibachi that she let me use when I was 14 years old. If you guys are grilling, what are you grilling? Post pix!

maaaaaan, I wish I could get a nicer/bigger grill but I live in an apartment and if someone stole my cheap grill I wouldn't really be too mad. When I was married and had the house with my ex, I had a $400 Kenmore propane grill that was awesome. I actually found I like charcoal better though, better flavor.

What did you rub the ribs with? I like Tony Chachere's.

Looks great guys. I've been grilling for a month with my new toy -- Weber Smokey Joe Silver. Yesterday, we did Hebrew National hot dogs, jalapeno burgers, and I threw some diced onions on the grille in a little tinfoil bath/tent with some olive oil in it. The grill is so small that you don't need a ton of charcoal for it to get nice and hot. And the smokey flavor is wonderful. All that smoke in a small grill really permeates throughout the food. I pour a nice glass of cold beer and listen to my iPod while watching the grill. Sometimes I slather some Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce on the meat, but it really doesn't need it, with all that smokey flavor.

I did some turkey cutlets a couple weeks ago marinated with an asian type sauce that I made up. Other than that, I just have grilled a few steaks a burgers and hot dogs. Though, I need to really clean my grill, its getting pretty bad.

I have a slab or ribs in the freezer that I need to throw on there.
I'm experiencing a sensation altogether new to me, and frankly... I LOVE IT!
