I am personally convinced that "the Veg" is a joke perpetuated by one generation of men on another. It is like a snipe hunt, really: you give someone a bottle of the Veg and dare them to use it. You call them a wussy if they don't, and once they do, you laugh your ass off and let them in on the joke. Then, it is incumbent upon them to play the same joke on someone else, and the cruel, cruel ritual is repeated.
