    Default Razor ID. Help appreciated

Right now I'm looking around at auction sites to find myself a new razor. Came across this one here.

Anyone around here got an idea of what kind of razor this could be. Would you consider buying it, or should I just let it go?
    Your comments are highly appreciated.

It looks like a Merkur head, but I'm really not sure. Maybe Alex can help?

    Thanks.

That's a good start. Looking at the Merkur website, it could well be an older version of this razor if I'm not mistaken.

So, what would you consider to be a fair price?

    Thanks for the responses.

Would you pay that for this particular razor as shown in the opening post and the state it is in? Or is this more a general price tag?

Anymore suggestions on determening what brand and type it is?

    I don't think it's a Merkur. i think it is a Sonnal.
    Sonnal-Werk Hugo Pasch, Solingen in 1925 and 1932, Saarstrasse 14-20 in 1939.

@M80: good find! That looks exactly like the one I posted.

@all chipping in: thanks for your advice so far.

But then again if it is a Sonnal, what would be considered as a fair price?
