    Default best trac II handle?

So, I use generic trac II blades when I travel or am in a rush. I have a gorgeous chrome handle, but it is weighted all wrong. It is very heavy at the base as opposed to the head which makes shaving very awkward.

Can anyone suggest a nicely balanced attractive handle for Trac II blades?

    thanks

I don't know if it qualifies as attractive, but the Personna Bump Fighter handle is very good. Heavier that the Gillette Trac II and it has a nice rubber coating for grip.

+1. Not particularly pretty, but a great, great handle.

I have an Omega Trac II handle that I quite like. Metal head, and some sort of plastic composite (made to look like wood) handle. I bought it off of Ebay from a seller named Alphamart. It costs about $15 shipped. Here is a link to two models that they sell:

Been using the Bump Fighter w/ Personnas, then Wilkinson cartridges for years now.. the angle is a little wider than the regular old TracII handle however. And unfortunately, I did not find them at the Wal Mart the last few times I was there... so I'm not sure if they stopped carrying them or not.. may have to buy online..

Yes, but only certain Walmarts. The item is specifically marketed towards African American men (the actual Bump Fighter cartridges have a guard on them that prevents a close shave, thus preventing ingrowns), so it's unlikely to be stocked if your area doesn't have a significant African American population. Also, the item might be stocked among the regular shaving items, or it might be stocked among the ethnic items (as it is at my Walmart).

My local Walmart no longer carries the handle.

Walgreens has them also. I think I saw them in Rite-Aid as well.

+1. I looked several times at my local Walmart with no success, but then I checked the website and it said the store carried it. I went back, described it to an employee, and was directed to the aisle containing ethnic items. I'm not sure which was more unexpected, a razor that was 7 aisles away from all other shaving gear, or a Walmart associate that was actually able to offer helpful information.

Walmart moved the Bump Fighters into an Ethnic concentration, around the corner from the shaving aisle, and they are balanced very nicely.
