I haven't ever had a nickname that I really liked. As a kid, it was ET (thank you Steven Spielberg); a few years ago, it was red (big red beard when I leave off shaving for a few weeks)

one year away from finishing Ph.D. program

What is your favorite shave setup?
EJ 89 razor, a vulfix pure badger brush, and VDH deluxe (but have a puck of MWF on the way). I'm undecided on a favorite blade at this point.

What are your hobbies and favorite activities?
playing piano, guitar, running, board games, and reading.
