    Default Joris soap

Wow! Smells phenomenal and lathers better than anything else excep for my AOS sandalwood soap. I'm not sure if it slightly dries my face or not; does this happen to anyone else? I have a loanerpuck from the Joris Tour PIF and I'm about ready to buy one for myself.

I'm testing out the Plisson soap in my UK soap comparison thread...it's supposed to be the same soap except the scent is different. What does the Joris smell like?

I agree it produces very rich lather quite easily.

I had the Plisson soap and it ended up getting shower duty. Not impressive in any way.

To me the Joris soap smells similar to Floris no89. I suppose you could call it a very masculine spicy floral scent. I have never had it dry out my face. Overall I find it to be about on par with Cade but not as good as Tabac.

I had a puck of the Joris soap. It lathered easily, created a thick creamy lather with a lot of cushion. I found it lacking slickness, also it didn't really seem to have any beard softening qualities and it left my face feeling dried out. It ended up as part of a Frankenstein soap experiment.

My wife and I love the clean, masculine scent. The jury is still out on it drying my face. I'll probably just buy a puck.

It's a pitty this soap is so expensive. I would have loved having a soap with my name on it.

Update: been using this off and on. Definitely dries my face afterwards but produces good lather and slickness. Also, the scent is amazing. I would appreciate suggestions for any other soaps that smell like this.

Still loving this stuff. Used it with my straight two days in a row.
