That razor came out amazing!!

Makes me want to buy a drum of Flitz.

I always read great reviews of Flits but I never see it locally. I use Simichrome when I absolutely need polish, but I always worry it's too abrasive.

Good job! I think the case looks great as is. If I owned it I might leave it as is. Like a "sleeper" car. Looks beat on the outside but is a monster under the hood...

Funny I scored An Empire Set like this the other day, case also had the latch in front of it, instead of the more common button Latch, Do you know if the Empire set cam in Gun Metal? Mine was black on top, but the razor and blade case were gold, i to was able to remove the interior and clean of the case and dip it in hot soapy water, ill put some pics up later on. :o)

The latch closure was just the earliest style of Pocket Edition case, and yes they all came in silver, gunmetal, and gold options.

Okay, I got the case all cleaned up and although it's not the rare gunmetal version, I'm very happy with this set -- after all, heavily tarnished silver was what I thought I was buying in the first place.

I'm still amazed that the case could have such a thick and even coating of tarnish, yet the razor was pretty lightly tarnished.

By the way it's not showing brass, that's just the reflection of my house.
