My wife can tell
I've been learning how to shave with a DE again after 35 years of cartridges. My first post year was back in August, so that's about when I started.
I'm at the point where I'm "reasonably" consistent. It's hard at first to understand how much your technique will improve with just a little time. The patience is paying off though.
My wife can now tell me how many passes I've made at my beard, and regularly declares "Damn fine shave!" after a two pass shave, and "Wow, BBS!" after a three pass shave. I have to confess that I generally do not get a BBS with two passes so she's is almost always spot on. For me, that's the difference. And time being what it is, I'm generally doing two passes during the week and three on the weekends when I have a little more time to enjoy my shave.
Thank you to all the posters here. The advice I've received from my own questions, and others, has really made this a fun project!
"Yes, m'am. That's my razor, m'am!"
