Default A first. My wife used a Schick injector..

My wife has been tolerant of this hobby and even that is generous. So Today I came home from work and as she steped out of the shower sheepishly said "I used your razor" I peeked into the shower to find the Schick. Not a bad choice if I may say. Then she said " It works great on my heels & my legs feel good"..Sigh. Well it's a start.

I bought my wife an injector..hek she told me she gets more shaves from the blades than my original SE which she also used

    Don,
I have you to thank. The Schick blades are amazing in longevity and sharpness.

Smalltank I just alluded to that. Your wife is correct they are much much better than the SE & DE in terms of number of shaves one gets from them.

Congrats! Maybe you can try and talk her into letting you shave her legs with a DE and make her a full convert!

Lol. I did sort of once. I didn't do a great job as I was nervous. This time though is different in that she took the initiative to use one of my razors.
An update too! I just shaved getting ready for work and she came in and said pointing to my soap " I'm going to have to use that next time" I nicked myself as I was shaving! Lol

I've been on an injector kick here lately both buying and using. I loaned out almost all of my DE's to other B&B Members (R41, Fatip, Slant, Goodfella, R41 2010) and have been using a Schick Adjustable, a PAL adjustable, Schick Stick, and my Cobra Classic. The shaves are almost effortless and they do a great job. I'm hunting down a Hydro Magic now to give it a shot.

My Bride used my Tech for the second time last night. She raved about this shave. The first one she was a little sheepish she said, didn't get as close as she liked. But she loved last nights shave.

^ That's great to hear Johnnie! I also know my wife is afraid of the DE. So if this is her comfort zone so be it.

How does an Injector compare to DE?

Two different beasts really. I find the Injector is a bit smoother and a bit more nimble at least to me than a DE. The blades seem to last for me (at least a shave or two longer). The old Eversharp models aren't as close or smooth to me as the later models. A shick adjustable and a pal adjustable are both just smooth and perfect as far as I'm concerned. I also have a Cobra Classic which I guess is an injector of sorts, and it's the smoothest beard cutter I own.

Maybe in time. Carts continue to go up in price it's hard to not use a $1 injector.

    That's what I have. A Hydro-Magic. A great shave.

Different in that it's more maneuverable in areas like under the nose and there's this feel of the blade itself seems a bit stiffer than current thin bladed carts. Also on the Hydro-Magic there is a gap which helps facilitate the exit of excess lather and doesn't clog up. A bonus. Also being that the blade is stiffer across the width of the razor one gets a uniform shave and very smooth too. I really like this razor and would make a great travel razor bar none. Why would you go with disposable when a Schick is so much better.

My wife started with a Lady Gillete and I got her a Schick Injector, but she found it too aggressive. Later she tried one of my Schick Dial adjustable injectors dialed down to a 1, and informed me I would not be getting it back.

Gave my wife a 1960 slim twist to use, she likes it, she really enjoys making the lather.
