Fatip vs. 2010 Muhle R41, Same head?

I can find only conflicting information. Do the Fatip and 2010 R41 share the same head?
Anyone actually have both and can set the record straight for me?

Pretty sure they do not share the same head. I think the Fatip is more aggressive than the 2010 Muhle R41.

If I'm not mistaken the 2008 and 2009 R41's used the Fatip head.

Fatip in the rear, 2010 Muhle in the front. Definitely not the same head, Fatip is pretty aggressive and the 2010 is mild IMO.

It is my understanding that Muhle changed the design of the razor in three consecutive years. I have owned a 2011, and 2010, as well as a Fatip. I sold the 2011 - too aggressive, and sold the 2010 - too mild.

2011 R41 (Toothcomb) is a very aggressive razor
2010 R41 (Open Comb) is a very mild razor
2009 R41 is (Fatip) aggressive, but not near as much as the 2011.

In my experience the 2010 is too mild the 2011 is enjoyable but very aggressive. Fatip is just like my Joris OC, near perfect.

I own the Fatip and the 2010 Mühle R41 -- very different heads. As a couple of posters described, the Fatip head is aggressive, while the 2010 Mühle head is very mild. The only similarity I find between the two is that they're both open combs.

The 2010 Muhle head was not the fatip head...that would have been the 2009 R41. The 2010 head is the Merkur head....same head used on the Merkur 41c also know as the "1904" Open Comb. It is a VERY Mild open comb...as mild, if not milder than the R89/DE89

Here is a picture of my brothers "unholy trifecta " as he calls them....lol. On the bottom, is the 2010 R41, the middle is the Fatip/2009 Muhle R41 and the top is the 2011 R41.

Again, don't confuse the 2010 with the fatip....that was 2008/2009 R41....the 2010 head was the Merkur Head used in the Merkur 41C
