Revisor Straights?

Has anyone here bought a razor from this vendor? How long did it take to ship... how on earth do you order one lol?

There are some great looking razors but I wonder if the vendor is reputable and if the blades work?

As was mentioned above just submit an email of which razor(s) you want and you will get an email back with an invoice.

I ordered this razor http://www.revisor-solingen.de/html/6-8_35.html it was shipped on the 9th of this month and it arrived today. I haven't used it yet but it looks great. It looks to me that it was honed though.

Has anyone who have ordered from Revisor, did you noticed if the razor was honed?

I've had two and neither one came shave ready. Given that, they do take a heck of an edge.

Stand up vendor. Took me about 3 weeks to get mine from Germany to Canada. Well packaged and an outstanding quality razor. It had a few cosmetic problems like scratches on the scales but nothing serious, they buffed out easily.

If I were to buy new again Revisor would most likely be it. As mentioned earlier, you just email them and they will send you a paypal invoice.

all i did was wipe the oil off the blade, strop it, and I got HHT3, so mine was quite shave ready. Now maybe if I bought something more than an entry level razor from them I would have gotten HHT4 or 5

~~~I don't think I ever mentioned this but when I made an inquiry via email with Revisor, I was asking them questions about a razor, how to order, etc., then I never heard anything back from them. I was busy with other things and didn't think much about it then around a week to 10 days later I had a slip in my mailbox from the post office that a pkg was sent to me, they were holding it and I had to sign for it. When I got to the post office the pkg I signed for was the razor pictured above, yet I never paid for it, so I sent an email to Revisor and *then* they sent me an invoice (paypal). It's been a long time before this someone sent me something w/o paying for it first

Great service at Revisor, I ordered a 8/8" but it was not completely to my satisfaction and they just returned my money, I've have other revisors that I like to shave with, good quality.

Hows the quality compared to Böcker and Dovo, does someone know?
Will they send them shave ready if I want?

~~~or maybe the blade they sent to you was not finished as well as the one I recieved? Or maybe you want a better edge than HHT3 to shave from? I'll say this, the edge they sent to me was quite shave ready and at the time it passed an HHT3 with the hair sample I used. That said, not all hair samples are equal as I'm sure you would agree. Even from the same bunch of hair. I did a dilucot on this razor-

Thursday, dulled the edge on glass first. After my last stroke on the coticule and before moving to the strop, I checked HHT and would only get to HHT2, so I stropped it and barely got HHT3, in fact it was a struggle to find an HHT3 after the strop. I shaved with this razor Friday night, with much trepidation starting out. Damn if it wasn't one of the best shaving razors I've ever put to my face and I easily got BBS after my usual shave and touch ups. In this instance, I think the hair sample (I only used one) was clearly to blame and I got a false HHT reading
