    I missed this 2short! Man that's a tough call. I think I would save up a bit - unless your Hart isn't doing it for you. Those Harts just look so nice... I think I would have a hard time desiding if I should hang it up for show, or use it lol.

    I don't think this co. is going anywhere!

    I have been in the spot of more razors than I can really justify before and I try to just keep to 5 or so now.The hart is a wonderful razor but I am finding myself leaning towards the hollows lately. I don't keep any just for show. They must earn their keep.

    I have been watching this with interest as I really fancy a 6/8 Revisor. I currently use a vintage 4/8 with the same brand name....and it is great. However I have discovered....to my cost that modern versions do not always continue the tradition of quality (Think Timor here) Are the modern Revisors worth the cost?

    ~~~I like my Revisor 5/8 1/1 hollow quite a bit. Enough that some day down the road I'll order another, but the next one will be a 6/8, in fact, I was peering at their 6/8 page last night quite a bit. <sigh>, so many razors, so little cash <LOL>
    Red or black, I like the simplicity of this (their) style of shoulderless blades. They have another that is more ornate yet taking care of the gold wash is a PITA
    yes, this is the one http://www.revisor-solingen.de/html/6-8_47.html you can buy me for my birthday, or, if you hit the Lotto jackpot and you want to do something nice for Jake
    ~~~you're right Rick, it's a great blade. That said, I like both of my Dovos, but the Dovos are both 6/8 so I can't really compare my Dovos to my one Revisor, but if pressed, I'd say these two companies make very good straight razors and we're fortunate that we're able to buy new razors from each of them, and I would definitely buy another new Dovo as well. I like Dovo blades. They work well for me, my skin and beard

    +1
    I think you could however compare some things Jake on any "new" razor. What i would like to know is how easy is it to hone your Revisor compared to your Dovo? I find my Dovo crazy easy to put an edge on compared to some of my other razors. What about fit and finnish? My Dovo's finish absolutely bit chunks compared to say my Boker. So much so, that I have to re-scale it here one day, but I don't complain as it was an $80 razor! I feel like I got away with something every time I shave with it.

    I can, I have a Dovo Bismark 6/8. It too is a great shaver but I'd have to give the edge () to the Revisor.
