Barber Hone and hair line cracks

I was wondering how many of you out there use an old barber hone that has some amount of crazing or fine hair line cracks?
I picked up a NOS double grit hone that I probably put more money in paper getting it flat than the cost of the hone. The cracks are small even when looking through my RS microscope.
I just honed up one razor on it and it sure didn't seem to have any negative effect on it.

As long as they're small it shouldn't be a problem - maybe they'll help prevent wire edges, like those old hones with the dimples in them.

That really small crazing is nothing to worry about. I've noticed my Norton 4K/8K has developed the same thing.
