Those pics dont even show everything !! Honestly, its amazing how many different products this man manages to source. And not just shaving stuff. He has the best of most hard to find personal care products in there, and after all it its a pharmacy, so you can get a prescription filled while youre at it. I don't know what kind of business he does with the shaving stuff. It its a hell of a lot of stuff, and I do know that he doesn't sell online, relying on walk in customers only. Its funny, theres an Art of Shaving store directly across the street from the 62 street location, I have no idea how they stay open, with this right across the street..lol..I think he's a little like us here on B&B, I know he's definitely into wet shaving, as he mentioned once that he has a big de collection..I think his store is just his RAD,SCAD, SBAD,SSAD, and every other AD run amock !!

Having only been to NYC once, I can completely understand how it's possible.
    No offense to anyone. :)

Those are some awesome pictures, if I ever end up back in the city I'll have to try to make a stop!

Wow. I've been to Merz Apothecary in Chicago a few times and was impressed -- but this is just beyond. Can't wait for my next trip to Manhattan

Do both shops have comparable inventory? I'm usually in midtown, so distance is about the same

Please stop posting pictures, I can't take it any more!!!! :-) I literally feel like I am going to drool looking at these pictures. What I wouldn't give to hold a few Simpsons brushes and check them out prior to purchasing them... Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Unfortunately for my wallet, I'm working with a client in NYC that's not far from the mid-town Pasteur's. And it happens to be right on my way back to Penn Station...hrm...

Look on the bright side -- at least you're working. That means you'll be able to replace at least some of the $$ you drop @ Pasteurs.

    In theory.

I'm airline crew & when I'm in NY, we stay close to the 62nd st branch, near Bloomingdales.
Only been there once, as I'm a newbie to DE shaving. From now on, every time I get a trip to NY, I'll be popping in there for a treat!

Holy Frijoles Batman! I am definitely in trouble. I am taking my wife for our first ever trip to NYC at the end of Feb and this place was on the list, but I greatly underestimated the things that were going to be at my fingertips!

What city is that in? To date, in Dayton, Ohio I have found:
    Wilkinson Sword's Wal-Mart

At local cigar shop The Wharf...
    Merkur blades
    Colonel Conk soaps, straight razor.

    At Kroger
    Kiss my face moisture shave

    That's it.

I'll be staying a few blocks from there on a family vacation in a couple of months.

How late is this place open?

I'm not sure about weekends, actually, I don't think it was open at all when I went on a Sunday. During the week, its open til 7pm.

These photos don't even scratch the surface of the different shaving products and brand in there...Straight razors, shavettes, Parker, Muhle, , Vulfix, Simpson, merkur, I think they have every soap I've read about here except Tabula Rasa, and MDC. It really is overwhelming...

A couple blocks from my office, dangerous, I know. I think they may close at 6 Fridays-at least last friday they were...saved me some $$$

Also FYI just in terms of prices-creams and soaps seem about on par with West Coast Shave and other online vendors, maybe ~$1 more in some cases. I looked at the Simpsons prices and they didn't seem too bad either. In any case, definitely not the usual sticker shock I usually get when comparing B&M store prices to online.
