    Default Noob here

been using a DE for a bit now, and thought I'd join after finding the site. I also have a couple of straights that I need to pick up some hones and other bits for to start using them if I go that route. but I like what I see so far.

    Welcome to B&B.
Whereabouts are you? If you have never honed before I would suggest you send your blades to a honemeister near you. (If you are in the USA I suggest Larry at whippeddog.com)

Welcome, hope you have fun elegant yet functional shaves and don't catch any of the acquisition disorders (AD) that people seem to get

I'm in the states. as far as honing, I have and can do knives to shaving sharp, and having watched some videos, it doesn't look too hard. but I don't pretend to be an expert either. so that's something I was looking at researching more anyway. I wasn't going to just jump in and ruin the blades or my face in the process.

but thanks for the advice and the welcomes from the others.

Fair enough. Have a look at whippeddog.com. Larry might be able to help you out.

How could you wish him that? The AD is 50% of the fun! A bit pricey, but we're worth it
