Witch Hazel

Not exactly an after shave balm or cream or lotion, but truly a solution often used after shaving -- witch hazel is that native American tree that is also the source of our daily toning after shaving. Extracted from this small and hearty tree that blooms in the winter. Here are some blooms from one of the witch hazel trees in my yard. February in New England usually is a time of sub-freezing temperatures and quite a bit of snow -- and that's just when this tree puts out its flowers -- attracting some tiny pollinators that are around in the dead of winter.




Beautiful flowers with a very subtle aroma of our favorite facial toner.
