    Default anyone else itchy?

    Okay, so now for the most part I am getting really good shaves. I'm starting to figure out my face, especially the neck area. Now my problem seems to be that my skin can get really itchy. It's not irritated and it is pretty smooth but later in the day and into the evening I get quite uncomfortable. Not every time but about half the time. I am moisturizing twice daily now so I don't really think it's that. It is most noticeable on the lower neck and right along the jawline. Does anyone have any similar expeience or thoughts and ideas about this? Any advice would be great!

    Micro irritation - too small to be visible, but you can feel it when the hairs start growing through it.
    This is a good sign, it means your technique is improving!

    If it does not go away, consult a physician. You may be suffering from Pruritus or other skin condition. It can be localized or over a significant portion of your body.

    Try going without moisturising for a while. It could be that your skin just doesn't need it, or you are possibly allergic to one of the ingredients.
    Instead try something like witchhazel as an aftershave, it is really good at stopping these types of problems.

    Yep. I get it when I get a close shave with straights or DE. Could be what was said - micro-irritation (cool... new term for me today). However, I noticed that when I changed from using my 'moisturizing' aftershave that it helped. I went from trying to use a fancy aftershave to moisten my face to just using a plain moisturizer - in this case, Lubriderm. The nice thing about a plain moisturizer is that you can put on a cologne or other aftershave over it and get that cat-house odor we like. ;-} However, I like the idea that it is because I am getting close shaves so, just for my own ego, I'll vote for that. ;-}
