    Default Goatee trimmer recamendation?

Not sure if this thread goes here or not if it does not please move it.

I shave my head and face but I recently grown a goatee, which I've done at different times in my life but my problem is that I have two different trimmers and I don't like either one really and the things that I don't like about either of them is both of them do not trim the hair to the same length. What I mean is I have hair in my goatee that is different lengths.

What I'd like to do is about once every week and a half or so trim it really short and then let it grow for a week and a half and then trim it short again. But and most importanly I want all the hair the same length when I get done.

    Sugestions??

I have one made by Phillips G370, available at most drug stores, Kmart, Target, etc. I has several adjustments and you can use it without the guard if you want to get right down to skin (not a BBS, but takes a lot of hair off). It is rechargeable as well, which I liked. I have been using trimmers for years on my goatee and I think this one is better than most.

I use a simple wahl trimmer to keep a short beard. Works well for me.

I don't use a trimmer on mine. Scissors do the trick with more control, IMO. I have a nice pair of Henckels:

Just picked this up on Amazon to replace my previous trimmer that finally gave up the ghost after 15 yrs. I love it, multiple settings, rechargeable, leaves my goatee all the same length.

Wahl trimmer with accessory guards of different lengths that clip on the top- I use a longer one on front and sides and a shorter one for the area under the jaw and the center of the moustache. I take the guards off to trim the straight lige at the lip and the line under the jaw. Scissors for touch-ups.

Whal is good, I have had a Remington that I got at Walmart that has lasted me for about the last 4 years and its still going strong.

What I would pay attention to is the way the guard is held in place. Just make sure it feels nice and tight, like it won't pop off and gouge you goat!

When I had my goatee I used a normal (Remington?) hair trimmer with a 6 mm comb. then touch up with scissors. This is the type of trimmer you would do hair cuts with not a special beard trimmer.
