Henry, when yesterday with your PM, you anticipated me about a "surprise" for today's SOTD shot, I started to be very curious. And now I must say, what a wonderful surprise! I'm very happy to see you like so much the Italian coffee I shipped you this Christmas! Isn't it one of the finest you have even drunk? I love the Vergnano Roma...

P.S. The shot itself is simply gorgeous and certainly deserves a spot in the SOTD Collectors Thread!

Results: Another test of the Llyn Melynllyn, the Gotta didn't take quite as nice edge as the Dovo, probably because I took it straight from the Norton 8K edge to the LM, I might also have diluted too fast. Still a pretty comfortable edge, giving a nice and close shave.

I am always amazed at just how close of a shave this DE gives. The R41 is not to be trifled with, but man can it shave when you use the right technique! Great images/shaves being put on display here of late. Thank you all for sharing and for indulging me by allowing my humble efforts to appear alongside these masterpieces!

It is outstanding coffee, one of the best I've had, especially out of the Cuor di Moka. Simply outstanding. So when I saw the espresso cups and saucers in an Italian store this week, I had to have them. Alas, they don't sell Roma. Just 1882.

Bela, I have to admit I was losing patience with the Flaschner, but my honing skills(or lack of them) were to blame. I really enjoyed this morning's shave, finally experiencing what this blade can really do.

Great shave and pic(s), Bela! After our first snowfall overnight, this winter, I almost reached for the MWF myself this morning, but I couldn't cheat with my photo too much, could I?

Despite the recent thread on Thater customer service(which I too find unforgivable), the brush itself is still my new favourite. And yes, the Flaschner certainly was celebrated this morning. An amazing shave.
