Default Safety Razor of the Month: February 2012 - Show us your silver and gold pairs.

    Goooooooddd Morning B&Bers!

I thought this month, instead of focusing on one specific model for the SRotM thread, we'd show off our silver (meaning silver, nickel, or rhodium) and gold pairs. For example, a Milord and a 40s Super Speed. Or a Fat Boy and an Executive Adjustable. I'll get my pics up later when I have some decent natural light outside, but let's see what you've got! If you can think of some artsy way to present them (for all you SotD guys), that would be great.

I was going to try to find some way to tie in these pairs with Valentine's Day. It seemed fitting, somehow, but I'm really just not quite clever enough. You get a pink font from me, and that's all.

    Here's the closest I have to a gold/silver pair.
A 1923 Durham duplex and a 1922 Gillette Aristocrat. These are similar in years, not style. Or a 1921-1928 "Old Type".

It's the speed at which he responds which to me is truly amazing.

I've noticed that someone always makes a thread ending post within the first five posts of these SRotM threads.

You have to have ready access to either all the razors, or just photos of them already taken.

Don't worry, Scott. I'll lower the bar even further when I get around to posting my pics.

Okay, I'm going to fess up. I started a thread with this exact same theme back on November 30, so it was just a cut and paste job.
