Just won auctions for a Fatboy and a Slim

Hi!

I'm very excited, I just won a couple auctions, a Fatboy in very nice conditions (a bit scratched at the top, but the mechanism looks great) and a slim that looks like new. No packaging, though I don't care much of it, I plan to use them.

This will set me back around 96 bucks. I'm checking the shipping costs with the seller, as both auctions were from the same guy. I wanted to spend around the same as a brand new Merkur Progress, and if you consider I got 2 razors, I did

I may be getting RAD...

Welcome to the forum! I'm confident that you're going to love both your new FatBoy and Slim. I own both in my "arsenal" of razors, and those two provide me with the best shaves of all of them.

Welcome, and well done on your finds, they look great! Slim and FB did not feel the same at all for me, so I ended up buying a super adjustable and I fell in love with it, you may be only at the beginning of your RAD

Yorch, great score! Got my Slim in December on eBay and found a great deal on my Fat Boy at an antique store. Both great razors. Load 'em up and head 'em out!

Nice pull! I was doing the same thing - so you might have been one of the guys that beat me. I was looking for a good deal on a slim and did not want to pay over a certain amount. Good on ya for finding ones you liked.

Definitely keep a log and see how the same blade/cream/AfterShave feel in each razor. who knows? You might find one works and the other does not and have to re-list it on the aution site or maybe do a PIF here on B&B.
