Simpsons size 1 brushes - "spear points"?

Never used a Simpson but thinking of trying one soon maybe...I recall seeing some discussion that the two-band brushes in size "1" sometimes have "spear point" knots...is this true? Will I have to go up to a size "2" brush to avoid the "spear point" knot?

Size 1? Which Line... Chubby, Duke, etc...
FYI - If you buy from Superiorshave, you see pictures of the actual brush you are purchasing.

Was thinking maybe an Emperor or a Tulip.

I have an Emperor1 in 2-Band and it is a lovely little brush. Whilst it may look like it has a "spear point", the brush certainly feels good on the face and not "poky" at all.
