Dad used Old Spice and Gramps, who was a barber by trade and straight shaved, used Witch Hazel.

My Dad used an Aftershave & Cologne of the same Scent on a daily basis; British Sterling, Aramis, Canoe, Z-14 and sometimes a Lime Scent for Summer but I'm not sure if it was Old Spice or some other make that's been discontinued. His Special Occasion (Wedding, Family Reunion, ETC) Aftershaves & Colognes were kept under Lock & Key and I'd be hard pressed to recall them. I like the British Sterling, Aramis and Z-14 myself, they smell fine and bring back fond memories.

I remember that my father used only splashes, Mennen skin bracer is the one I remember the most...
Aqua Velva or Mennen Skin Bracer....anything else would wind up getting tossed,
My dad has been gone 10 years. I remember in the 60's he wore AV Blue. In the 70's he stopped using AS and went to Cologne. He wore Tabac for the last 30 years of his life.

Old Spice exclusively. I think he stopped when he retired a few years ago.

My dad's aftershaves and colognes are Aramis and Stetson.
My dad has used Old Spice his entire life. I got him the Shulton Old Spice for Christmas. He took one whiff and he said "I always thought they changed the formula on the P&G stuff"

Old Spice and Mennen Skin Bracer were fixtures in the bathroom cabinet, still remember taking whiffs when I was a kid.
The smell of Old Spice and Vitalis conjures up images of my departed father like nothing else.

My dad would just splash on some green bottle Polo the majority of the time.

I never saw the hand shaped bottle but that would have been pretty cool. I always saw this type of bottle:

Aqua Velva. not sure if he still uses it.
My Dad used Old Spice until he started using an electric razor. Now he doesn't use aftershave, but he does regularly wear Woods of Windsor cologne. Both scents remind me of him.
We shall this day light such a candle, by God's grace, as I trust shall never be put out!
My Dad (May God Rest His Soul) always wore Canoe AS. Funny thing is, as I recently got into wet shaving, and all that goes with it, I picked up a cheap bottle of Clubman. It reminds me of my Dads Canoe !! I also have a bottle of my Dads old Canoe, but I havent been able to get myself to use it, as the bottle is still at the level he left it at...
