Gillette #58

I took delivery of this just before the weekend but due to decorating taking priority i have only just got around to having a good look at it and i was blown away by it...

Now i have a question regarding it i thought that the heavy version of the #58 was stamped brit pat 694 093 yet mine is stamped patent pending the same as the aluminum one which i also have but all the heavy ones that i have seen pics and info i have looked at online all have the brit pat and No's stamped on the head has anyone seen or own a heavy #58 with the same stamping as the one i got with pat pending on it...

nice set. It must be from 1953/54. Since 1955 they are Brit.Pat. 694 093 and since 1956 the case has a loop around the knob

Nice set. I have 2 #58's and they both have the 694 number. I love the #58's even more so than my 66 and the 70.
