Anyone used T&H Luxury Soap and the Cyril Salter Shave Soap?...lots of reports that these come from the same factory and ingredients are very similar...same thing with the Vintage Blades Lavender shave soap.

A puck of Cyril Salter is only $6, so I'd rather save some $ if I decide to try it and they're all the same thing...

It is a perfect blend of fragrance in a milled soap that will always provide a perfect shave. Contains a mild lavender scent. Made in England."

Just shaved with the MdC. Knocks out the Buckthorn. Like no one knew that was going to happen...

Just because it's the same maker, doesn't mean it's the same product. Contract manufacturers are given recipes by their clients, then they manufacture them. It's akin to saying since Toyota makes the Scion, it's a better value than their 400+ horsepower Lexus IS-F.

The salter soap is entirely decent, but it isn't T&H and the T&H is worth the extra $.

Their soap only comes in one scent, Lavender - but for whatever wacky reason they don't list it as such. Link to the soap here.

That's the T&H mug soap, i'm not 100% sure it's the same thing (it's also 2oz vs 3.4oz). It COULD be the same thing, but i've never used it, so no promises on its performance. I'd get the full size (3.4oz) you'll become addicted anyways...

When you have T&H and the VB soap, which have the same ingredients in the same order, the skeptic in me has serious doubts about any appreciable difference between these soaps. That said, I haven't tried any of these 3 soaps yet...maybe I'll buy them all and do a side by side comparison. Anyone work in a lab that analyzes product ingredients? I'd love to see a chemist get to work on these.
