Default Vauen Zeppelin Briar Tobacco Pipe

Does anyone have one of these?
I'm overwhelmingly curious to know how they work and smoke...

The briar looks pretty thin, I wonder how hot it gets.

As a dependable pipe to add to my regular rotation I wouldn't waste my time or money chancing it, as a novelty to add a spark of interest to my collection it might be fun to fool around with and just have laying around.

I realize this is not a new design, but as far as I am concerned Vauen is the new S. M. Frank Company. It seams as if everything they put out has some gimmick to it. If that wasn't enough to turn me off they also sell this, which makes me never want to own anything associated with the company.

I'm buying you one of those as soon as I can find it.

It seems like you'd get a free pound of banana flavored tobac with it.

Wow I have never seen one of those. Would be fun to have as a cool piece in the collection but it seems that it may not smoke well or be a royal PITA.

I have done some looking into these pipes as well, they were original designed for use on Zeppelins (the Hydrogen filled air ships) hence the name, they are difficult to keep lite and are not great smokers, not too mention expensive, They do look cool though :-)

They sure do look cool. It's a shame they're not as functional as they are interesting. Still, it's made it to my wishlist!
