Default What are your "go to" slant blades?

I generally use three blades: Iridium Supers, Feathers and Perma-Sharps. I like all of these blades in the slant, especially the Iridiums. However, I have a few personna meds that I wasn't a huge fan of, but I loaded one in the slant the other day and really liked them for some reason. I have a bunch of other assorted blades from samples, etc that I wasn't all that happy with, but was thinking they might shine in the slant. Any blades you guys use that seem "made for the slant"?

I have a suspicion that the Slant brings out the best in a blade. I started out with my favorites (Personna Med, NOS Gillette Bleue Extra) and had an absolute blast with both of those in the 37C. Just recently, I loaded up a Derby. I've always disliked that blade, and was just killing the last one in my five-pack. I was stunned that it gave me a wonderfully smooth and effective shave! I never had that before with a Derby.

I think I'll be killing off all my lesser blades in the Slant.

Derby's behave differently for me in different razors and they also match pretty well on this razor.
However, my favorites on a Slant are feathers and Yellow Gillette 7O'Clock.

Interesting. I will certainly give them a shot. I feel like you may be right in terms of the slant bringing out the best in different blades, perhaps making them more "effective" by the physics employed in the design. Still have about 100 Derby's that are getting zero love at the moment. This may provide new life for them!

Turkish Perma-Sharps in cardboard boxes and NOS Gillette bleue blades are my favourite blades in my slant. I also like iP's very well in this razor.

I too have found the Med Prep to be an awesome Slant blade. So good in fact that I have been able to do one pass ATG only + touchup shaves with a Slant and Med Prep combo without having any negative effects. Honest truth.

Perms and Med Preps are my choice for my Sledge and have used Crystals with good results also. I think most of the popular blades would work well in the slant with good results.
