Pelikan Pen ID -

I wondered if anyone could help me id this recently acquired Pelikan piston filler. It was purchased used and thought to be a M100. But it is longer than the published lengths for 100 pens, at least according to this source I found http://www.vintagepens.com/pendata.pdf ..

It measures out when capped at just a scootch over 5 inches, say 127 mm, weighs 15 oz full, the cap band just says PELIKAN and GERMANY, nib reads "Pelikan" over the logo over "M". That's it, trim is Gold colored, as is the smallish nib.

Thanks for the help in advance

"Old-style" M200, early 1990's. Nice pens, gold plated steel nib.

More Pelikan questions guys, please!

Thanks Nemo, the M200 dimensions match at that Vintage Pens reference. It came without box or paperwork, but seems almost new.

Easily worth twice that. How does it write and how do you like it?

Well, I'm a newbie with fountain pens, it seems to lay down a nice line, using Benevolent Badger Blue now. There's a nib snag I need to see about smoothing out though. The quality of the pen is top-notch, it is a nice size to my hand, if anything a bit smaller than I think I'll like, maybe when I get some experience.

I like it alot
