    Default Injector Shaving

I have never used an injector razor and am curious as to the shave quality. Is it easy to get BBS and how aggressive are they compared to DE's.I like aggressive razors and am wondering if I should try an injector--Thanks in advance for your input

I can say that they give you some very nice shaves. My wife and I were recipients of a couple of different types of injectors from a B&B member bassmanlarry, and we both tried them out this weekend and well my first one with the injector was okay, not BBS but I managed a DFS. This morning I had another go with mine and it is getting much much better. Look around the B/S/T or antique malls and I'm sure you can find you a pretty good deal on one.

As with any other Razor; SE or DE, Shave Quality would depend on your Prep, lather & ability. Quality shaves from an Injector would take ~ 3-4 shaves, Blade Angle should be fairly easy, lay the Razor Head Flat on your face than tilt to a 5-7 degree angle, similar to a Cart/Disposable razor. Pressure, actually no pressure is required for a close shave, use enough to hold the Blade on the face and be very careful around the Chin & Jaw since these Blades are very sharp and carelessness will get you nicked.

A BBS (overrated) can be achieved with less passes than most DE or SE Razors, depending on the Injector used. The Schick "E" or "G" are two aggressive Razors, at least for me, and two-passes + a Touch-up will give me a shave that will last over 24 hours. My Whisker Growth allows me/forces me to wait ~30+ hours to have enough to shave, for DEs I can shave everyday and SE Shaves are ~26-28 hours between shaves.

Injector Razors are fairly easy & inexpensive to try, check the B/S/T and you'll find a "G" or two for ~$9-12.00 on average, blades can be found on the internet, including Amazon. 99.9% of them are Chinese Made Schicks, they're good blades and I average ~10-11 shaves per blade, My whiskers aren't Barbed-Wire but they're not too wimpy either.

I've just started shaving with them this month and am damn impressed. The older one (G) is quite aggressive but easy to handle. My later one (J type) is much milder. Probably comparable to a Gillette Tech.

Know, I'm a woman, but I do find them plenty aggressive, almost too aggresive if I am not careful. I think a lot of it comes down to how you use them and experience- I'm a newbie all around and especially knew with the injector.

I really enjoy the shaves form the Schick Injector, not nearly aggressive as a Gem SE. Nice comfortable shaves.

Some injectors are mild and some are wicked aggressive.

The Schick Dial Adjustable is my favorite of my injectors. Set on 8 (the highest setting) it is pretty aggressive and has quiet a blade gap.

I have an E type in the rotation and it's pretty great.

There's as much variety between injectors as there is between different DEs.

I vote for the PAL Adjustable opened all the way up if you like an aggressive Injector,

I have 2 "E " types, 1 "I" type and 1 "G" type Schick Eversharp injectors. I find them all very good shavers. In my opinion the "E" type, (the most aggressive of the ones I own), is about as aggressive as my Gillette slim set on 8 or maybe even 9. I find the injectors to be much easier to shave with because it is easier to find the right blade angle. I love the shaves I get from all my injectors. The only reason I like the DE better is there is a much greater number of different blades available. You don't have that large of a selection of blades with injectors. I have some old school schicks that are extremely good, and the Chinese schicks that I have are good performers as well.
