Lol ok thats pretty funny, lets make it a wrong answer and put an end to this 1, Think its gone on loooong enough.

The correct answer is JARRAH, And KindestCutofAll who really did cheat anyway was the only 1 to get it.
So this is what happens i said 3 sets will be won so i'm giving it to KindestCutofAll for his cheat guess, and thatsilverguy 1 because he's funny 2 he spent a bit of time going through and updating. the 3rd set goes to the first other person who had a guess, and PMs me. I'll start a new contest soon. and the next timbers nice, so stay tuned.

Is it bad that I now know more about Jarrah from Wikipedia then I will likely ever need to know?

Ok PFP_Dad has snapped up the 3rd set which is fitting considering that Jarrah is actually a Eucalyptus. So congrats to all the winners, And hopefully the next contest will be up soon.

    Stay tuned....

WooHoo!!! Thanks, but it was an inadvertant burst of enthusiasm. I fully renounce cheating (no, really I mean it)!

Before this I didn't know what Jarrah was. I learned alot and it is very attractive.

    Thanks so much.

I'm envisioning that with some sealer, not stain, and thinking the grain on that piece could show some depth. No guess yet.

Yes your right, These scales are actually rounded right to the edge, and once coated with CA will show allot more "depth". I've tried to show that in the small pic but my photography skills, or camera, lol are not very good sorry. Although i did manage to get the colour right. There for the latest resto a nice 5/8 ERN, I'll post some pics when its finished to hopefully show that depth your talking about.

Looks like the grain on my model 70, which is American walnut.

UPDATE. I just sent off some scales to the USA, and used the new letter way that the post office suggested as a cheaper alternative (this has been a struggle from the start, I had to talk him into it) It cost me about $3 yes i was very supprised, now when i have confirmation that they have arrived without dramas i will be changing the prices as i'm not doing this to make a profit, keeping in mind that i do need to include paypals 50c and the packaging (because this thread has cost me more than ive received in postage costs) if all goes well the new cost for the USA will hopefully be about $5.50-$6.00, the UK seems to be a little more. I'm slowly getting it down pat so it will make it much cheaper for you all, sorry for the confusion and thanks for your patience on this matter.
