Vieux Carre Absinthe Superieure

Holy cow! what an amazing taste. It's a shame they'e using star anise instead of green anise, but wow. Very spicy in an herbal way (contra St. George's which is just spicy). Not a very strong louche, it rolls up from the bottom like a rising fog and never gets milk-like, but reaches this semi-transparent green ghostly color.

Highly recommended.

Have any of you Absintheurs tried the Sauvage 1804? As far as I understand it should be kind of epic, but haven't tried it as of yet.
