    Default Face Dryness Question

Ok so for the past week or so I have been using a feather blade. I havent changed up my routine at all, same soap, same razor, same prep, aftershave everything. The past few days it almost seems like I have "face dandruff", lots of flaky white dry skin. Is this the blade doing this?? Anybody else ever experiance this?? Thanks guys.

Could it be the dryer winter weather?

Those blades are supposed to be replaced once in a while. Just kidding. It's probably what Kentos said. Just apply some greasier cream after shave and you'll be OK.

I had a problem with this too. Albeit, it was mostly due to a skin reaction from a soap, but w hat helped me was washing my face twice a day with a small face towel and applying a moisturizer afterward. Within a couple of days my face no longer looked like I was shedding a coat of skin in the effected areas.

The Feather blade is the sharpest DE blade on the market. You might be using too much pressure and shaving your skin off.

Sounds like very dry skin to me, possibly exacerbated by dry weather. Try using any good skin moisturer regularly, not as a preshave, possibly after you shave

I've gotten this a couple times as a reaction to a cream or soap, but not to a blade. It's happened if I spend too much timeout in the cold too. I usually just rub in some good "healing" lotion a few times a day until it goes away. I like Eucerin or Neutragena.

Indeed. If you're seeing little white flaky dots immediately post shave, you're probably scraping your skin. But if you're not getting razor burn, most likely it's the dry winter weather.
