Just picked up a six pack of this stuff. These guys are a microbrewery and winery in my neck of the woods. I've had all of their brews, and this one is by far their absolute best. I could see having it in the house all through the fall and winter.
The smoke is really apparent in this one. My first taste of it almost reminded me of an Islay whisky, but it's rounded out with nice toasty, chocolatey malt that turns a little nutty on the finish for me. The carbonation is there enough to make it refreshing and easy to drink, but it still somehow has a very creamy character.
Just a heads up for you guys who like smoked beers. I'm really impressed with this one - especially for being a local brew by a company that's more known for their wine.
