Default Fragrance for GF for Valentines

I know these threads are sometimes difficult, but I'm looking to get my GF a fragrance for Valentines. For xmas I got here Bottega Veneta and she loved it. She isn't terribly picky and loves almost everything I wear, which is a shocker as I have some very polar ones (I mean one of her favorites on me is MPG RdV and that shocked the crap out of me). About the only thing she is meh on me is ouds and timbutku. She loves rose and sandalwood, but I had her try Bois de Illes and she wasn't too keen on it. She loves Tam Dao, but that is mine and I'm not getting her something I wear.

Any suggestions? I was thinking a nice rose and thought about Lumiere Pour Femme, but not sure I want to drop that amount. Thinking $100 or less.

Eau Rose sounds like a really interesting rose and is brand new from Diptyque:

They also have a 20ml roll on for $50.00.

    Eau Rose Notes:
Bergamot, black currant, Centofilia and Damsak rose, white musk, cedar

I'm going to pick up a sample for my girlfriend to see what she thinks.

While I like Diptyque as a house, I have been really unimpressed from anything released in the past 5 years. My 2 favorites are discontinued and I prefer their older stuff in general.

Any Montales to suggest? I need to get around to ordering from Montale Paris for a 50 mL of Black Aoud and can get a bottle for her and a 20 mL of one other I like for me. Still time to get samples from Luckyscent, so what is feminine from them to try?

They have nearly a dozen scents under 'rose', and that doesnt even include black oud.

You could probably order her a 'rose sampler' from them. Picking out womens ANYTHING is a very very risky endeavor. You sir are braver then I.

I know its not spring or summer yet but, I bought my wife Spring Flower's by Creed about a year ago. I would give that a try and see if you like it. She loved it! and I did to!

At the other end of the spectrum, my wife likes Morrocan Rose from The Body Shop. 100ml for $25 or so. There are so many possibilities, I don't know where to start! Guerlain Samsara for a fruity sandalwood? MpG Santal Noble or Amber Precieux? Chanel #5 for a classic? Since you both like Tam Dao, buy a big one and share!

Well, normally I think it's pretty insane to try and buy women perfume without knowing exactly what they like, but it sounds like she's pretty flexible. Coco Chanel and Prada Candy are two that i see mentioned a bit at Basenotes. Angel for women makes me weak in the knees, and I would love to date a woman who wore that. Prada Candy is a very sweet, floral and girly girl scent. It's also quite new to the market. Around $100 I think.

Well we decided last night to not do gifts for Valentines and just go out to a nice dinner. Was smelling some samples last night on tissue though and she really liked Le Labo Iris 39. Might have to try it out on her as normally I'm an iris nut, but on paper that one didn't do a lot for me.

I think I'm going to get a sample of TF Black Orchid for the mrs to try. I noticed an empty bottle of CC Mademoiselle in the garbage can yesterday.
If she doesn't like it, I don't mind smelling like the King of Pop

Velvet Flowers is a stunner of a feminine frag, I'd highly recommend it for any SWMBO around here. I would think it is very easy to enjoy.

I love the Iris 39, i'd put it squarely in the unisex camp.
