I just can't do it! I think I already have enough soaps and creams to last a lifetime... maybe three! Plus, I've never even tried Arko, so until then...
It could probably be it's own S&D entry but this seller, "The Shaving Factory" through Amazon has some amazing prices on what we could kindly call the "affordable end" of the shaving supplies spectrum. Like 100 Derby's w/ a cased TTO razor for $19.99, all the infamous Derby shaving creams at $19.99/dozen($1.66/tube) or some $12 Boar brushes--all shipped!
They offer a "starter kit" for $25, but I'd probably go with Italian Barber for that--better quality stuff.

Ordered. I am on my last puck of shaving soap and have wanted to try Arko.
I like ARKO and it is always in the drawer waiting for me to grab it...
BUT....
I could not sleep at night knowing that there were 15 sticks of it lurking in the shave den just waiting to gang up on me every time I went in to shave.
No one should have to worry about that many "lurking Turks"

Nah, you won't get the box, if you did it would be smashed beyond recognition anyway.
But you're getting 15 shave sticks for 20 bucks shipped - 1.33 each - and it actually lathers and protects - IMO better than a lot out there - no matter the cost.
I'm no Modern Williams basher (to each his own) but last I checked it was creeping up on 2.00 a puck.
One in the cabinet, one in the dopp kit, and 20 or so sticks in reserve. You know. Just in case.

Does one really need 15 sticks of arko. I have yet to try this stuff. It's next on my list.
I'll PIF a sample to someone that wants to try before buying. The scent is not for everyone.

Yes. Yes one does. Just like you need 10 different DEs and 5 different SEs, 14 brushes and 13 blade varieties. Before you get into Straights.
Seriously, it's handy for PIFs, to include in sales, the occasional WTB... it's a modern anomaly - cheap, easy to find and good.
I tossed one in with a sale I made on the BS&T, and the guy replied that he'd been DE shaving for 5 years and had still never tried it - kinda made his day.
I agree that the scent isn't for everyone, but IMO it's not bad, and it subsides with time.

I bought 15 at one point and have given half of them away. One older Williams user asked me for a few more after I gave him one. Another guy also gave up his Williams for the Arko I sent his way. Spread the Arko love!
