I was going to buy a tube of T&H cream, but after using RSC, I find there's no need unless I decide I just can't live without one of the T&H scents.
Interesting, I had a lot of problems getting the water correctly. I got a tube from another member, it was used, I don't think it's dried up or in poor shape though. It wasn't as much that I "could not" lather the cream as much as the fact that I have so many creams that are so much easier....

(I have hard water but guess that doesn't matter much. I have been able to lather everything I've wanted to though so maybe it's not that bad).

    Damn nice cream.

Kirk's Original Coco Castile Bar Soap does it for me.
    - Hypoallergenic
    - No Synthetic Detergents
    - Low cost
    - Good, simple manly clean scent
    - All natural
    - Easy on the skin
The blade just glides on this stuff. The bar lasts forever, too. I understand they make a liquid soap, which I haven't tried.

+1 for the KMF. Mint, especially, is cooling in the summer months, and I'd go so far as to call it a great paraben-and-SLS-free Proraso alternative. YMMV, however, but it's definitely worth a try if you're into cooling sensations.

I just ordered a product I want to use when I travel: it's Pro Shave Cream with Lanolin and Vit. E. I've never tried it, but I figure for traveling it means I won't have to bring a brush and soap with me. I really like my shave gear and try to keep the good 'stuff' at home. I'll see how this works; I'll test it when it comes in next week. Found the product on Amazon but had never heard of Pro Shave Cream.

Musgo Real, I just tried it for the first time and WHAT a cream! Simply stunning, both performance, lather and scent (Forget that it is a bit over $10)

I don't recall SLS content but I have used and enjoyed Arko, Dalan, and German Nivea. Another good one that I THINK was about ten bucks on sale was Pacific Shaving Company.

Arko and Derby are both superb creams at a dirt cheap price. Do not know about their chemical make up though

I'm still pretty new to all of this, but my wife picked me up a tube of the KMF at Whole Foods on Sunday. I used it last night and was really impressed by it.
