in all seriousness though, how would it be less efficient than a gas engine? Honda say's that they can only harness about20% of the energy available in gasoline, so we are waisting 80% of the power. i suppose i could be wasting more... but that's hard to measure without having the project done first.
the point of this idea is to directly power the wheels. the electro magnet sits behind the permanent magnet and is driven by A/C,which forced the magnet back and forth (theoretically at least lol) on a rod the rod will be connected to a hinge that is able to move up and down, on one side,then to the wheel directly on the otherside, so that it pushes the wheel forward then on the return will pull it back completing one rotation of the wheel. i have no clue if that's going to work, but it's an idea at least...
