I ordered and just received a SS Weber bulldog handle today & WOW, I love the quality, heft & sharp/deep knurling. It is just outstanding. It looks like the Ikon Bulldog SS (to me). It is now on my 2011 R41.

Waiting on a DLC with bulldog handle. Would love to purchase the "Classic Razor" or even just the "Classic Handle" if anyone is interested in selling, I'm looking to buy.

ARC Weber with Bulldog handle arrived today, will wait until Saturday when I have more time to appreciate it but it looks good.

I have an Ikon bulldog handle but the Weber handle seems to have more positive knurling and is more polished, or seems to be. Maybe may Ikon has dulled a little.

I got one a few days ago from the fundraiser. ARC with bulldog handle. There are some blemishes on the head, but I used it yesterday and got an excellent shave with an Astray SP blade. Not super close, but very smooth.

Got around to using this razor this morning, I wasn't disappointed with the shave it was very good and the weight felt just right, a little more aggressive than the EJ DE89 but in a good way, seemed to easily sort out the difficult spot on my neck and leave me with a very smooth close shave. I like it and will be adding this into the regular rotation.

This is exactly my experience. I have been using mine with a Rapira and have been very pleased with the combination.

I'm using my Classic/DLC fairly regularly. It's got a great feel and heft to it, good feedback and if you do a two or three pass shave with it, not sure how one could not like the results. A very nice "overall" shaving package.

Purchased a Classic Handle from KentClark (great guy). Arrived today, trying to decide if I should paint it black.

I picked up a DLC with the Bulldog handle off the BST. I used it the first time this morning. First impressions out of the box: Man, this thing is heavy! Clean, good grip on the handle. Loaded her with an Astra, lathered with my Silvertip and some Mama Bears Dublin Tweed. First pass WTG, looked to make sure I had a blade in, it was that smooth. Second pass, ATG, no nicks or weepers, felt great. Third & fourth passes, XTG on my neck. Still no nicks or weepes. I finished with a cold water rinse, splashed on some Clubman Bay Rum, no burn. All in all, I love this razor. It has a place in my den from now on. I will say the time with my R41 probably held me in good stead, the lightness of the touch needed there transfered to here.

Is anyone out there using the bulldog handle with a Gillette NEW head? If so do you have any impressions, pictures, etc.? I appreciate it.

I got one with the ARC finish a couple of weeks ago and pretty much have the same feeling as you did Johnnie. Nice and heavy but a very efficient shaver. The Astra was nice but I think that the SoperMax Super Platinum I used was a little bit better, shame that was my last one of those and now I am waiting for my new order of those to come in. This razor and the new FaTip are getting most of my shaves at the moment. I guess I will have to see what happens when my Tradere arrives.

Just an update, this razor continues to impress. So far I have tried SuperMax Super Platinum, Astra Superior Platinum, Personna Super (Lab Blue) and Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (Yellow) and they have all performed well. If anything I think I preferred the Personna and the SuperMax, however I usually don't find the SharpEdge to be a nice shave but in the Weber it was very nice. Just goes to show that blades can give a different feel in different razors.

I don't know the actual specifications but side by side and in my hand the Weber Bulldog handle feel slightly larger in diameter, could be my perception from the difference in knurling, but don't think so.

I finally received in the mail a few days ago, a Weber DLC stainless steel razor ordered from here:

    http://www.weberrazor.com/

This stainless steel razor is a great shaver, well made and will no doubt last a life time: this razor has heavy handle and is a bit more on the aggressive side (~2.5 on my Mergress) as compared to my mild shaving stainless steel Feather AS-D1 razor, although not nearly as aggressive as my Merkur slant. If you want a high qualityrazor, not as mild as a Feather, but less than half the price, I highly recommend the Weber stainless steel razor at $70.00.....Each of my 4 razors have their own character, so I really can't say one is better than the other, or that I enjoy and prefer one over the others, however, if you can only afford one really good, high quality stainless steel razor, you can't go wrong with the Weber. The Weber is now in my rotation along side my Feather AS-D1(~$180.00), Mergress (~$115.00) and Merkur Slant (~$42.00) and I rotate them on each Feather blade change.

The SuperMax Sunrise was rough for me in other razors, but just fine in the Weber DLC. As if the Weber were a magic wand.

+1 It seems like any blade I've tried in the Weber seems to work better overall than in other razors, with the exception of my Progress/Mergress which also works pretty well with most blades. Even so, I don't think it works as well as with the Weber. Somehow the Weber also inspires a lighter touch and better technique. It's weird! You're right. It might even be magic!

I just had my first shave with my Weber with the DLC head. I want to thank all of you who submitted posts on this razor. For me, I'd never heard of it and it would have remained under my radar if not for B&B.

What a beautifully crafted device! I found the DLC head to look great and seem slightly smoother across the face than my Merkurs. I loaded a Gillette black (first time trying this blade). In fact, today's shave was all firsts for me:

    Vintage Eveready Pure Badger brush
    Weber DLC
    Gillette black blade
    DR Harris Arlington stick.

Awesome shave! All of these ingredients worked very well. The Weber was not aggressive, seemed to me perfect. It allowed me an ATG pass, which I only get with some of my injectors and adjustables set very low.

Im very happy to pay $70 for this awesome razor. Thanks again to the members for brining this to my eye.
