Think I'm definitely gonna order a sight unseen kit, quite exciting not knowing what will arrive.

My new Red Point #684 - Anton Wingen, Jr. (Made in Germany). I love that Larry was able to find a Red Point box when I added that to the purchase.

    Looks fantastic! Thanks!

Beautiful blade! Was that purchased w/cosmetic flaws or just straight unseen?

Me to wife (truth!): "Does she really need all these Barbie dolls? You only need two to have a conversation. Why so many?"
Wife, not skipping a beat: "It's kinda like your straight razors..."

Got mine in the mail today! Sorry about the pics, all I have is my Iphone. I got the Sight Unseen Deal with an extra Poor Man's strop, just in case. Little worried since the balsa wood came wrapped in a hospital news paper, just in case I guess.

Anyways, the razor is a Hamburg Concave with Quick Cutter engraved on the blade. Now to put it to use tonight!

I hope you have better luck with stropping than I did. I destroyed my first strop in about one hour. Glad I got a second one.

Well I didn't strop before the first shave. The letter I got said not too. So I took Larry's advice, finished dried off the razor and will strop before my next shave. Going to give my face a rest after tonight. It needs it

I received my sight unseen today, got a good looking Shumate Prince with faux tortoise scales. There is some patina on the tang and a bit of honewear, but that's about it.

Got mine today, a Wostenholm with "Peerless" etched on the blade, ivory colored scales. I have an unused Wosty that was an antique store find which I decided to leave alone until I get the hang of things, and the blade on the one I received today is considerably wider and if this isn't a full hollow, I cant imagine a grind any thinner. I'll get some pics up of both very soon.
Also, I got a large rectangular piece of leather with a note that said he was currently out of the poor man strops, but would send one in a day or so and to use this on the counter in the meantime. Cool, now ill get to see if I would like a paddle strop also!. I'm very pleased.

Count yourself lucky! A month ago, someone complained because his balsa strop was wrapped in an obituary page. :)
