Nice razor Leigh - looks like it's in great condition for a 100+ year old blade!

Here's the one that got me started. I told Larry I wouldn't mind paying a little more and waiting a little longer if he wouldn't mind keeping his eyes open for something with a little "pretty" factor. I couldn't have been happier. Great shaver, too, BTW.

It is a nice blade, feels pretty good in my shovel hands.
Sings pretty loud on the HHT

I'm a chef by trade and have only stropped this and don't see it going on the balsa wood for a wee while yet.
Maybe my knife sharpening skills will help me out when it comes to honing.

Very nice looking razor Walter. I wish I had thought to ask Larry about doing that when I placed my order. Oh well, it is on the way and I am sure it will be a great starter razor. You got a very nice razor though for a sight unseen!

I'm sure you'll be happy. The important thing is the edge! Once you're addicted you'll have all the time you need to shop for eye candy!

DOH!! I just started thinking about it and went back into my Gmail to check. It wasn't sight unseen. Larry sent me a pic beforehand. I remembered that Larry described this razor in an email and told me why it would be a really good beginner's razor.

Either way, trust in Larry. He knows what he's doing and he won't mislead anyone.

These all are in very nice condition, which goes to show what a great service Larry provides. I started with a straight from him, and I'm glad I did. A basic razor with a beautiful edge is what a noob needs in order to become addicted and then bankrupt. I'm well on my way, and I'm enjoying it immensely.
    Uh-oh.

Waiting on my sight unseen still, bit of a snafu with the postal service sadly. Larry's been nothing but accomodating about the whole thing, which only makes me MORE excited to get the damn thing, at which point I'll promptly photograph it and show you all.

And then shear my face off with it.

Make sure you post pics of that, too.

Hey, that's a nice looker. I like the scales. The pitting just adds some character.

Just with my i-phone so the quality is not great.

My inexperienced eye says it looks like a half-hollow. What do you learned fellas say?

Got my sight unseen today. Looks fine to me, but I have nothing to compare it with as I've never actually seen a straight in person. I was first struck by how small and light it was. can't wait for saturday to give it a shot.

Razors look very nice. Looks like Larry is a busy man. I'm happy with the purchase I made with him and will do business with again for sure.

Had my straight from Larry about a week now, Still very impressed how nice of a razor this is, So impressed i ordered a second razor tonight a half hollow this time, I only hope its half as nice as the first. I also took Larry's advice on the first order and purchased the second strop i already cut the first strop up pretty good, after i learn a little more it will become my pasted strop.
