The idea of the Never-Ending PIF is just that: an endless string of PIF's. If you see something on the list below that you would like to try, feel free to claim it. In return, you agree to add a PIF from your own den to the list. Use the following procedure:
1. Post in this thread saying you'd like to claim the offering
2. PM the donor of that item with your mailing info.
3. Once confirmed, re-post the list, removing the donor's name and item and adding your own. If you'd like to wait until you receive the item before offering your PIF, simply place a "?" after your name instead.
There is no limit to how often you can play, but a member may only have one outstanding PIF at a time. That is, you are ineligible to claim another PIF until someone claims yours.

I think we should put free stuff up now and again, but the only problem is it keeps increasing the list. But if it goes slow enough then there will always be stuff moving in and out of this thread which would be amazing. Its currently at 15 PIF

While I agree that it helps get things moving and it is very generous, I would also note that we currently have 14 ongoing PIFs. I'm not sure if there is an upper limit before things become unwieldy.
Norway only, huh? I wonder what razumny would say if I snatched it out of his hands.

I didn't clearly understand what direction the claims of alcohol and Norway applied to (recipient in Norway, or sender in Norway), but receiving cosmetics containing alcohol in Norway is not an issue (alcoholic beverages are a completely different story). The only tax that applies is VAT, which applies to all imports above certain thresholds. There were restrictions on perfume in the past, but they were lifted several years ago. This is likely the source of the (now incorrect) information given by US websites. I just checked with Norwegian customs, they should know. Just clearing things up.

Over the course of five months, we have had a few members toss in a freebie now and again just to get the thread moving. Heck, this thing started with one single item. I wholeheartedly appreciate the generosity displayed so regularly here. While at times it can get quite hectic, adding another line to the thread to jump-start it when it's in a lull does not make it any more unwieldy. It simply gives someone who may not like the selection another option, which may in turn (as it seems to have in this case) help the thread get moving again. Thank you, Dave, and thank you to all the other members who have helped out in a similar manner along the way.

This is a PIF thread and I think we should all take a deep breath and think about how awesome this thread and website truly are. Thank you Price for getting this thread started, it was a great idea and has added so much to our community!
