I agree with the crowd, nice PIF! I actually think I like the plating loss It has its own unique rugged look but with the class of an aristocrat, a fine razor that has stood the test of time and has some scars to show so it sort of reminds me of Wall-E!

I realized a couple of weeks ago that a significant percentage of the threads that I'm subscribed to were started by the originator of this thread, and I have derived a substantial amount of pleasure posting and reading those threads. So, on behalf of the dozens, if not hundreds, of members of B&B that have benefited from this Never-Ending PIF thread, including me, I'm putting up two PIFs instead of one, but the first one has a singular destination.

Thanks, Price, for kicking this thread off at the first of the year, and for your good showing in the Shave Purchase Sabbatical this year. Just trying to ease the rationing for you, sir. Since there's another PIF going up, as well, I'll leave it to your discretion whether to add another item to the list. I say "not necessary", and I'm sure my fellow subscribers to this thread will agree.

The second is the regular PIF: I have an extra Gillette Aristocrat, user-grade. Lots of plating loss, especially the end caps, some brassing, but the guards are nice and straight, and it opens and closes smoothly. The case is a little ratty, with a tear in one corner. I picked this up in a big lot and have never shaved with this particular razor, and it could use a little TLC and cleanup, but I have every confidence that it will provide the great shave the Aristocrat is known for. Couple of pics below.

Well, since I've claimed the Captain's Choice, which as Jay alluded I had decimated last month, I feel obliged to offer something else from the Minimalist May adventure to you fellas. On the table is a tub of RazoRock King Louis lavender soap, from their "Artisan" series, which was gifted to me earlier in the year by another very generous member. I'm very familiar with it (I did use it for every shave last month, after all), and can wholeheartedly say that it is an EXCELLENT performer. There's a good-sized depression in the middle, but I'd say it's at least 70% full.

OK, I've claimed PRSMan23's TFS sandalwood. I'd like to offer up what seems to be the third most polarizing item in shavedom (after THE VEG and tabac of course)
Up for grabs is one NOS puck of Burt's Bees Bay Rum soap. Most describe the scent as incredible, however the performance is "absolutely love it" or "absolutely hate it".
In my case, the wife has put the ixnay on bay rum. Enjoy!
