If Legion was still making his travelroo strop I would choose the Roo since it would take up almost no space and be almost impervious to damage. A nice mini paddle is nice too. I think both would do an equally good job...but I love stropping on a hanging strop, so the Roo would be my choice even if not a Legion made one.

+1. If you can get a Roo travel strop I think you won't be dissappointed. Probably doesn't make much difference in terms of space since you'll be checking baggaqe anyway. I was lucky enough to get one of Legion's Roo travel strops off B/S/T and it is fantastic, and the fact it can fit into my kit is a bonus.

Really...how big is your suitcase? Does travel equipmengt truly need to be undersized?

Whenever I travel I always simply lay my regular strop atop my folded clothes and take it with me. A hanging strop is about 1/4" thick, is that really going to burst open your suitcase? Why not enjoy a full strop when on the road? Same goes for shave brush, soap, etc, etc.

I haven't made any long trips that require full size suitcase since I've been straght shaving, but for overnight or 2 night stays I usually just take a small bag. I'd have to fold or roll my full size one. Still use a travel brush, shave stick, etc. I've always used compact, travel sized stuff for travel...I guess old habits die hard!

Not to mention the additional baggage fees those vultures at United charged me for checked luggage!
