Default Is something like Cremo Cream available in England?

    Hi all

I was reading this post over on ShavingZone.com but the stuff they're reviewing (basically face-lube I suppose) doesn't seem to be available here. I did find the women's version at a reasonable price, but I bet that's too mild for my manly face.

So anyway, what can you recommend that doesn't need a brush and works well with a DE?

    Thanks

Any soap or cream can be used brushless, whether it says so on the package or not.

There isn't anything in my rotation that I haven't lathered up with just my fingers and the palm of my hand ... and neither my whiskers nor my razor can tell the difference.

As for Cremo Cream, you can probably get it from Amazon or one of the vendors here on B&B ... just be prepared to pay through the nose for shipping. That would be the deal-breaker for me, unless you order a lot of other stuff with it to get free shipping. Its a good cream, but its not that good to warrant $15 worth of postage.

Pretty sure the only difference between Lady Cremo and "Regular" Cremo is the scent. The ingredients are identical. Truth be told, I prefer the scent of the women's version.

I've never been able to find it, but I think I'd prefer the scent of Lady Cremo as well. The orange aroma of Cremo just doesn't sit well with me. I like an orange smell for washing my dishes, but not to shave with.

You guys have the world's best creams manufactured in your backyard and the best soaps available in every store, and you're trolling the internet for obscure American latherless creams? Dude!

Then again ... re-read the thread title.

The OP is asking for something LIKE Cremo, available in England. Presumably, it would be made in England, as well.

For the brushless aspect, any cream will do ... as for the orange scent, I'm stumped. Perhaps another citrus scent like Lemon or Limes might do the trick. And I don't know enough about the 3T products and other English creams to compare things like slickness and glide.

Only because he can't get it over there!

Actually, Cremo is a member on the board here. I'd PM him and see if he can put you in touch with a European vendor.

I probably should have made it clear that the unique selling point of Cremo for me is the no-lather approach. It seems like I could get a good shave quicker if I don't have to make a lather. Plus it'll fit in a ruck sack.

Any soap or cream can be used without a brush, if that's what you mean.

+1. ALL creams can be put directly on the face and used 'as is'.
