One time while crawling under the crawlspace in the old house where we used to live I found about half a gallon of them all in a rusty pile on the ground. Luckily I was looking ahead of myself with the flashlight. I have no idea how they fell down, forgot to look, but a stud wall should have wood at the bottom, apparently in the 1890's they may have fudged a few things. You could make a metal or plastic container behind the drywall to catch them also. Currently I am putting them in empty plastic blade cases. I plan on buying a blade bank on my next order.

LOL about the fruit for neighborhood kids. I remember my parents checking fruit and baked goods for razor blades. They never found any!

Next time i use Carnation milk I'll cut a slot in the top to get it out rather then cut off the lid.

I use an old bottle of Clubman Talc. Large opening on the bottle makes it easy, and I can fit 200-300 blades. Cost me nothing, fill it up and toss it when I have another bottle.

Yeas ago, I did quite a bit of remodeling work in older homes.... That's when I realized that most all medicine cabinets came with a slot back in the heyday of DE/SE razors. I found thousands of old razors behind the wall under medicine cabinets, but never found one that was full.... That would take a couple of hundred years...

I'd bet that some were collectible, but it's way too late now... Anyway, I ended up going with what worked so well in the past. I used a Dremel tool to cut a slot in the bottom of my medicine cabinet, and glued a DE razor over it for trim with a dab of RTV silicone. I just drop old blades into the slot, and never have to deal with them again..... No bottles, no bags, no chances of anyone getting hurt with old blades. Perfect.

I got a small canning jar, (don't tell my wife ), caulked the lid onto the jar so that little ones can't open it and used a chisel to make a small slit in the top. works great!
