Indulgence of the Night - 2012

The other night
Aberlour a'Bunadh batch #30 something
Caol Ila 1982, 26 yrs., DT for the Nectar, 54.3%
Caol Ila 1996, 12 yrs, ex-sherry, OB, Feis Ile 2009, 58%

Chivas Regal 18 and 22 are a great blended scotch/whiskey indeed. My favorite single malt would be a Glenlivet 18, have you tired Bruichladdich?

Last night I had a some Glen Breton, Canada's only single malt whiskey. This was a gift I received several years ago from my mother when I was first getting into Scotch. I didn't think too much of it at first, but now that I think my taste has become more refined I thought it was pretty good. It's expensive though, around $90 up here in Toronto and I'd gladly spend the extra $10-15 and get a bottle of Lagavulin or Oban.

Mmmmmmm, how are these vintages? Actually, don't tell me, I can only imagine.

Caol Ila 12 for me this evening, absolutely delicious!

Just got to try a 51 year old Glenmorangie. It was bought by a friend in 1979 at the distillery, and it was already an 18 year old then. Quite delicious.

Anderson Valley Brewing Company Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout. Pretty good, but I prefer the local Captain Bastard's Oatmeal stout. The Captain is much more thick and chocolaty.
